Dear LaDonna,

First of all I want to thank you for coming to our church this past Sunday. I am a member of the First Assembly of God Church, Jefferson City, Mo. and this past Sunday was the second time I have seen you at our church.

In October 1982 I had my first back operation, a fused disk in the C6-C7 area of my neck. I found out at that time that I was allergic to pain medication, but the surgery corrected the problem and I was relatively pain free until August 1995. At that time I herniated the disk at the L4-L5 area of my spine and underwent a Lamenectomy surgery. This surgery did very little to ease the pain and since I was allergic to the pain medication I simply had to live with the pain. I have undergone two surgeries on my lower back since 1995 to try to reduce the amount of scar tissue, but this did no good at all. I also have undergone three sets of Epidural Injections, again this did not relieve the pain.

On Christmas Eve, 1999 I was driving in St. Joseph, Mo. and was hit by another car and the result was one disk in my neck, at the C5-C6 level and three disks in my lower back starting at the L4-L5 down to my tailbone were ruptured and required surgery. I now have seven rods and six screws in my lower back and a plate and four screws in my neck and have been told that I have at least two and maybe three more disks that are bulging and may require surgery. Needless to say I have been in pain, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and I am totally disabled due to the pain from my condition.

Our church has been praying constantly for a healing, but I had not received my healing. Then last Sunday my wife, my grandson and I were in the first service and I came down and you prayed for me. I felt a great deal of the pain leaving my body and when I got to our Sunday School class I told everyone that for the first time in a very long time I had very little pain. My wife, my grandson and I stayed for your second service and I want you to know that it has been six days with very little pain in my back. I am able to walk without the limp that I have had for several years and I believe that the Lord is going to finish the healing that he started during your service.
