Are there times when you feel weak, low, depressed, powerless, and just simply foolish? If so, be encouraged God has a plan and a calling for you!

1 Corinthians 1:26 - 29

"For ye see your calling, bretheren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called"

But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:

That no flesh should glory in his presence."

The enemy would love for us to think that because we are nothing in the world's eye we are failures. Wrong! In or weakness He is strong! God uses our weaknesses ("base things"), ideas, failures, and disappointments to show His strength. God uses base things so that He and His power can easily be seen and glorified.

When you feel like nothing, surround yourself in God, so that He can be everything through you. In 1 Corinthians 2: 3-4 Paul said that his preaching wasn't great and he felt weak. In Paul's weakness he had the demonstration of the Spirit and power. In our weakness (if we will practice the presence of God and spend more time in the Word) we can do the same. Paul made sure that all the glory went to the Lord.

When Paul made it clear that his flesh was weak and incapable of even preaching or speaking, the demonstration of the Spirit and power were able to be manifest. So let's move so God can! When we allow God to work through our weakness instead of feeling sorry for ourselves great things can happen.
